Configuration – Updating Legal Entity Addresses in Oracle Fusion

This article explains how to export, modify, and re‑import legal entity address data using the Manage Legal Addresses task in Oracle Fusion.

Overview

Oracle Fusion allows administrators to update legal entity addresses by exporting the existing address records, editing them in a CSV file, and importing the updated data back into the system. This process ensures accuracy and consistency across legal reporting and compliance functions.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Setup and Maintenance
  • Permissions to Manage Legal Addresses

Procedure

1. Export Legal Address Data

Step 1: Open Manage Legal Addresses

Navigate to Setup and Maintenance and search for Manage Legal Addresses.

Step 2: Export to CSV

Select Actions → Export to CSV File.

Step 3: Create a New Export

Click Create New to generate a fresh export request.

Step 4: Configure Export Settings

  • Set Show = All under Business Objects
  • Click Submit

Step 5: View Export Requests

Return to the main page and select View All.

Step 6: Wait for Completion

Allow the export process to finish.

Step 7: Download the Export Package

Once complete:

  • Open Actions
  • Select Download CSV File Package

2. Modify the Address Data

Step 8: Extract the ZIP File

Unzip the downloaded package and locate XLE_LE_LEGAL_ADDRESS.csv.

Step 9: Update the Required Address Fields

Open the CSV file and modify the address details as needed.

Step 10: Example Update

For example, change Address Line 1 from QQA to Test QQA.

Step 11: Locate and Edit the Correct Record

Find the corresponding row in the CSV and apply your changes.

Step 12: Save and Re‑zip

Save the CSV and compress all files back into a ZIP package.

3. Import the Updated Address Data

Step 13: Start a New Import

Go to: Setup and Maintenance → Manage Legal Addresses → Import from CSV File → Create New

Step 14: Upload the ZIP File

Select the ZIP file you created.

Step 15: Submit the Import

Click Submit.

Step 16: Monitor the Import Status

Select View All to track the import progress.

Step 17: Confirm Completion

Wait for the status to change to Complete, then verify the updated address in the system.
